How we work

Discovery to live billing — seven steps, no surprises.

The honest version of how a credentialing engagement starts and runs. Discovery, roster intake, Metolius onboarding, payer-by-payer work, monthly reporting. You see the work as it happens.

Engagement

Seven steps from discovery to running.

Time to live

Live in ~2 weeks.

From the discovery call to active payer work — most engagements clear setup inside two weeks. Then the work runs on the payer's clock, visible to you in Metolius.

  2. 02Intake3–5 days

  4. Live workweek 1 →
  1. 30 min

    Discovery call — 30 minutes

We ask about your roster, your payer mix, your specialty, and what isn't working. You ask about us, our pricing, our platform, and what changes if you hire us. No sales pressure, no follow-up barrage. By the end of the call, both sides know if there's a fit.

  2. 3–5 days

Roster intake — 3 to 5 business days

You send us your provider list, your payer list, and whatever credential documentation you have on file. We import it into Metolius, identify gaps, and surface every expirable, every missing attestation, every payer enrollment that's quietly out-of-date. You get an honest read on the current state — including the bad news — before signing anything.

  3. same week

Engagement scope & contract — same week

Based on the intake, we propose a scope: the lanes we'll run (enrollment, credentialing, contracting, maintenance), the providers and TINs covered, and the monthly fee. Month to month. No long-term commitment. You leave with your data any time.

  4. week 1

Onboarding on Metolius — week 1

Your team gets Metolius logins, walk-through training (1 hour), and a documented runbook for the platform. We set up the credential calendar — expiration tracking, recredentialing dates, attestation cycles — for every provider on day one.

  5. week 1 → ongoing

Active work begins — week 1 onward

We start the payer-by-payer work. New enrollments go into PECOS, state Medicaid portals, and commercial payer systems. Expirables get the right number of days of lead time. Recredentialing applications get worked on the payer's clock. Every action is timestamped in Metolius with specialist notes you can read in real time.

  6. monthly

Monthly reporting — every month, on the same day

First Monday of each month: a summary email with the month's wins (enrollments completed, recredentialing closed), the month's open items (applications in flight, escalations), and the month's expirables coming up. The data behind it is on Metolius — your team doesn't have to wait for the email to see status.

  7. by request

Quarterly business review — by request

If you want a 45-minute QBR each quarter, we run it. Performance vs. the prior quarter, payer turnaround trends, contracting opportunities, and the things we're worried about. If you'd rather just see the dashboard and email, that works too.

What's NOT in this process

No sales-cycle theater. No platform fee. No multi-year contract.

No long sales cycle

One discovery call, one roster intake, one scope. If we're a fit, we go. If not, we say so the same week and don't follow up unless you ask.

No platform fee on top

Metolius is part of the service. Not a separate line item. Not a per-seat add-on. The monthly engagement fee covers the platform and the work.

No multi-year contract

Month to month. Cancel any time. You leave with your data — every report exports, every credential file transfers.

No "AI agent" hype

Metolius is software. The specialists are humans. The division of labor is honest: the platform tracks; the specialists work the payers. Both, on purpose.

Questions, plainly answered

How engagements actually start.

  • How long does it take to start?

From signed engagement to active work, typically 5 business days. Roster intake is the rate-limiting step; once data is in Metolius and the calendar is set, payer work begins immediately.

  • What does it cost?

Pricing depends on roster size, payer mix, and lanes (enrollment, credentialing, contracting, maintenance). Most engagements are a flat monthly fee per provider with variable charges for specific projects (e.g., a new-payer panel rollout). We quote after the discovery call. No platform fee on top of the service.

  • What if we already have a credentialing vendor?

Most of our new engagements are transitions. We pull your current vendor's files (you own them by contract), import them into Metolius, identify what's missing or out-of-date, and run the in-flight work in parallel for the transition window. The handoff usually takes 2 to 4 weeks; we don't drop the ball during it.

  • Is there a long-term contract?

No. Month to month. Cancel any time. If you cancel, you leave with your data — every report exports to CSV, Excel, and PDF, and we provide a full credential file export within 5 business days of termination.

  • Who's our day-to-day contact?

A dedicated credentialing specialist runs your account. They're the same person on every payer follow-up, every escalation, every monthly report. Not a help-desk ticket queue.

  • Will you sign a BAA?

Yes. Standard HIPAA BAA on engagement. Metolius is US-hosted with PHI handling controls.
